Buying on Little Farm List

Everything you need to know about finding, ordering, and picking up local goods.

Finding listings

  • Feed — All listings near you, newest first.
  • Discover — Browse by category: Produce, Eggs & Dairy, Baked Goods, Plants, Handmade, Preserves, Wellness — plus trending items and map view.
  • Map — See sellers geographically.
  • Following — Listings from sellers you follow.
  • Search — Keyword search from the header.
  • Likes — Saved items.

Placing an order

  1. Tap Buy Now or Order on any listing.
  2. Choose quantity.
  3. Choose payment method — pay online via Stripe or pay at pickup if the seller allows it.
  4. Complete checkout.

Pay-at-pickup orders are held for 1 hour. If not picked up, the order is cancelled and items are released.

Order statuses

  • PendingYour order has been submitted and is awaiting seller confirmation.
  • PaidPayment has been received and the seller is preparing your order.
  • ReadyYour order is ready for pickup at the seller’s location.
  • CompleteYou’ve picked up your order and the transaction is finished.

Preparing for pickup

  • Bring reusable bags or a box — most sellers don't provide packaging.
  • Bring a cooler if picking up dairy, eggs, or meat and driving more than 15 minutes.
  • Have exact cash ready if you chose pay at pickup.
  • Keep your phone handy to confirm pickup in the app.
  • Arrive during the agreed window — sellers are often prepping other orders too.

Picking up your order

  1. Wait for the “Ready” notification.
  2. Head to the pickup location shown on the listing — use the Get Directions link for navigation.
  3. Confirm pickup on your Orders page.

Cancellations & expiration

  • If a hold expires before checkout is completed, the items are automatically released back to the listing.
  • If the seller cancels your order, any online payment is automatically refunded.
  • Pay-at-pickup orders that are cancelled have no refund since no payment was collected.
